Nantais workshops of decoration and cabinet making art Henri GOULET . House founded in Montaigu in 1855 orienting itself from 1925 towards the decoration of the ships. The new workshops were created in Nantes, a hub for shipbuilding projects.
Henri GOULET contributed to the arrangement of the 'Liberté' steamer and the 'France' steamer. Referenced in the book : On board cruise ships 50 years of decorative arts.
Commode in black lacquer opening on the front with 2 doors and 6 drawers, the ash interior is composed of 3 drawers, gilded bronze fittings. Beautiful gilt bronze door trim representing Adam and Eve Period 1940-1945
