Maison Jansen Dressing Table Desk Armchair Art Deco 1930
Maison Jansen Famous interior design house located in Paris. Founded in 1880 by the Dutch Jean-Henri Jansen.
Exceptional Dressing Table-Desk in the middle and its Armchair stamped by MAISON JANSEN from the 1930 Art Deco period.
Probably a special order, kidney shaped in mahogany veneer of thread, ivory grained leather top. the cabinet opens on the front with 8 small stepped drawers and 1 flap with its interior mirror. The handles of the drawers are in ivory and the catch of the flap in silvered bronze, the base of the cabinet is decorated with silver nails like its chair which is in solid mahogany and lined with the same leather. The cabinet is embellished with a torso spacer in silvered bronze.
The furniture and the armchair are stamped JANSEN on the 4 top drawers and on the rear cross member for the armchair.
